About Us
Whether you’re a novice or experienced handler or hunter, or just considering the purchase of a hunting retriever, the Old Dominion Retriever Club is interested in helping you and your dog.
- Promote the use of trained retrievers as a conservation tool
- Provide education to handlers, owners and the general public regarding quality in the breeding and testing of retrievers
- Offer training sessions, club tests, and NAHRA field tests to advance and celebrate the skill-level of participants
The Old Dominion Retriever Club Inc. is a not for profit organization that was formed in 2005 in Virginia by a local group of professional handlers, NAHRA judges, wildfowl hunters and hunting retriever enthusiasts who wanted to bring hunting retriever activities and especially NAHRA hunt tests to Virginia and surrounding areas.Our primary training area is 20 acres including 4 acres of ponds located near Heathsville, VA, in the Northern Neck.
